Serving the Coastal Carolina community since 1941, Telco Credit Union has a strong history of providing an array of financial services to thousands of members.
Wanting to increase awareness of these services, and increase membership enrollment, The Sumner Group was tasked with creating a new identity and position line for Telco Credit Union.
Telecom roots, and a commitment to community.
Our branding approach was centered on educating the public on the difference between the narrow membership availability of the State Employee’s Credit Union and the relatively wide membership eligibility of Telco.
We created the “speech bubble” iconography to evoke the telecom roots of Telco, while also representing the individuality of the credit union’s members. The T-shaped negative space is a memorable design element designed to serve as the foundation of continuing marketing efforts.
The position line “You can belong here.” succinctly communicates not only what membership brings but also a call to action.
